The Architectura Moderna is one of the first Dutch surveys and treatises on classicist architecture. The book contains descriptions and prints of the architecture and sculpture of the Amsterdam master Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621). Salomon de Bray, the Haarlem architect and painter, wrote the texts and Corn. Danckerts engraved the groundplans and views of de Keyser's buildings.
